When dental decay has passed it’s initial phase and requires treatment your dentist will recommend a filling. Depending on the size and shape of your dental cavity, your dentist will assess and recommend a suitable filling material.
Silver, tin, mercury, and copper make up amalgam fillings (silver fillings). Compared to other options, they are more cost-effective and are highly durable.
Metal fillings are not always considered the most aesthetic option, especially if the tooth is in the front of the mouth. An excellent cosmetic and minimally invasive option is composite (white fillings), a tooth-coloured material with elements of glass and resin.
Using composite material allows your dentist to keep more of the natural tooth structure due to how it is bonded to the tooth structure. Composite fillings have greatly improved in strength in recent years, making them a very prevalent treatment.
As with all of our dental treatments, your comfort is very important to us. Most treatments are completed under local anaesthetic, and your dental team will regularly check your comfort levels for a positive experience.

First class treatment and care through out. Many thanks.
I am completely satisfied with the treatment I receive. My dental maintenance is very challenging for you due to my ongoing medical situation. I appreciate the time you take to work out the best option, explain everything to me and then skilfully carry out the agreed procedure.
I feel confidant that I am receiving the best dental care and can’t thank you enough. Thanks also go to the other members of your team.
My family is relatively new to the practice, under the care of Deborah and Luciana, for which we would like to take this opportunity, to complement them on their professionalism, their care and the way they interact with us, which is always friendly and informative.
I'm generally not a fan of trips to the dentist, but my experiences with them have put me at ease and under their guidance, seen an overall improvement in my dental health, for which I am grateful.
