The common risks for extractions are (but not limited to):
Pain, bruising and swelling in the affected area.
Administration of local anaesthetic can result in the following: pain at the site of the injection, a bruised feeling afterwards at the site of the injection, formation of a haematoma if you are on a blood thinner (when giving injections for lower teeth) and very rarely paraesthesia (altered sensation remaining in that area after the numbness has worn off).
Damage to adjacent teeth or fillings.
Failure of the socket to heal if on bisphosphonate drugs/other drugs that affect bones in the body.
Post-operative bleeding that may require further treatment, such as a dressing or suture.
Possibility of a small fragment of root being left in the jaw which may require surgery.
Delayed healing (dry socket) necessitating dressing of extraction site. This typically starts 3-4 days after an extraction. Socket may need to be dressed more than once.
Possible involvement of the sinus (oro-antral communication) during the removal of upper molars which may require additional surgical repair (a referral to a local hospital will be required).
Possible involvement of the nerve within the lower jaw during the removal of lower molars resulting in temporary (but possible permanent) tingling or numbness of the lower lip, chin or tongue on the operated side.
Displacement of the root tip of upper teeth into the sinus. This would require a referral to the local hospital for surgical removal of the root tip.

I am completely satisfied with the treatment I receive. My dental maintenance is very challenging for you due to my ongoing medical situation. I appreciate the time you take to work out the best option, explain everything to me and then skilfully carry out the agreed procedure.
I feel confidant that I am receiving the best dental care and can’t thank you enough. Thanks also go to the other members of your team.

My family is relatively new to the practice, under the care of Deborah and Luciana, for which we would like to take this opportunity, to complement them on their professionalism, their care and the way they interact with us, which is always friendly and informative.
I'm generally not a fan of trips to the dentist, but my experiences with them have put me at ease and under their guidance, seen an overall improvement in my dental health, for which I am grateful.
